I describe myself as an “operations geek.�I love getting my hands dirty with raw data, and trying to come up with something greater than the sum of the individual parts. My varied background makes me adaptable and multi-faceted. My questions would probably never include, �/span>Who moved my cheese?�They would much more likely be, “We have a full menu of cheeses, let me help you match your needs to our offerings.�
From initial career plans of becoming an early childhood teacher, with an associate’s degree that now just gathers dust, my move into the business world (instead of one that revolved around Montessori teaching and nap times) was made by plunging in as payroll clerk for Levitz Furniture stores in Denver, CO. Soon after, I took the step of creating a database to track employee information, and I haven’t looked back since.
